Charles-Antoine was appointed chair of the Public Sector Accounting Board in 2017. He returned to EY in 2007, serving as national managing partner for Government and Public Sector, working with national and sub-national governments in Canada and abroad mostly on issues dealing with strategy and public finance management. He retired from the partnership in June 2017. While vice-president of Cap Gemini, a global technology and consulting firm, he assumed a leadership role in the definition of Service Canada. He was then asked to accept the position of Comptroller General (CG) of Canada in early 2004. As CG, he was tasked with rebuilding a separate Office focussing on major updates of both the financial and internal audit management policy framework. Earlier in his career, he earned his accounting designation and served as partner at EY, working with many public sector clients in Canada and internationally, at all levels of governments, including many state-owned entities. He also worked in Europe for few years at KPMG. Over the years, Charles-Antoine served on multiple boards of not-for-profit organizations. He also lectured on financial management and corporate governance at the universities of Ottawa and Laval for a number of years. Charles-Antoine lives in Gatineau, Quebec.
