Larry graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce in 1988, achieved the CPA accounting designation in 1988 and became a Portfolio Manager in 2011. Less than 5% of investment advisors in Canada have been awarded the Portfolio Manager license.

He has authored two books, published numerous articles and been featured on CBC and Business News Network on many occasions. Most recently he was the primary commentator on the 2017 provincial budget for CBC Newfoundland and Labrador.

In his 29-year career, Larry was been employed as a Vice President first at RBC Dominion Securities and then TD Waterhouse. In 2008 he moved to HollisWealth.
