David graduated from the Bachelor of Accounting program at Brock University in 2016 and was awarded the Dean’s Medal for Business for achieving the highest honours in the Goodman School of Business. David is currently working as a financial analyst in the Financial Officer Recruitment and Development program at Director of Budget within the Department of National Defence (DND). He received CPA Ontario’s Kenneth Victor Chernick Award for his distinguished performance on the Common Final Exam (CFE), and making the 2017 CFE National Honour Roll. He was also awarded the DND CFO Medal for his workplace and academic excellence in pursuing the CPA designation. He is committed to promoting academic excellence and professional development in the CPA community through active participation in the CPA certification program as a case marker for Capstone 2 with CPA Ontario. David was invited to join the CPA Canada’s Education and Qualification Advisory Committee to support the CPA Canada Board of Directors in establishing appropriate entrance qualification, education, experience, examination and evaluation standards for the Canadian accounting designation to best protect and serve public interests. David volunteers his time to mentor financial officers within the DND to ensure their success in the CPA exams.
